In preparation for the release of its third volume (expected to be available in March), Postscripts to Darkness has released a teaser from my short story “The Drawer,” and its accompanying illustration, which will be included in volume III.
“Shocked by the audacity of sound and its disappearance, she peered over her shoulder for an answer. And that was when she knew; the silence was inside. It was born out of the womb of the house. For the first time in many years, she smiled. Awestruck, she touched one hand to her chest and tried to still her racing heart. It was silent. She was completely alone.
