Editor Peter Jelen has been a deeply appreciated supporter of my work, and he’s at it again, including my poem Skeleton Dancer in the latest issue of Bareback Magazine.
Check out the September issue to read the work of talented poets Tamara Williams, Daniel Christopher O’ Connell, Mia McInnis, James G. Piatt, and many more.
Skeleton Dancer
Collarbones stretch like wings,
arching back
over the xylophone
of chest bones,
a washboard
of stretching, curving ribs.
Hooked elbows
and skeleton hands,
childhood wrists
and scooping hips,
a gap running long
between thin muscled legs.
I am
tiny little bones,
and grey
grinding
teeth.
