365 Challenge – the last day

Today is the last day of the 365 Challenge. I’ve written 365 poems in 365 days, and although I am looking forward to taking a bit of a break, I’m also so proud of what I’ve accomplished. I want to thank everyone who has supported me along the way, on Facebook, Instagram, and Patreon, where … More 365 Challenge – the last day

Make me a dragon…

On November 17th, I was given the honour of opening for monumental spoken word artist, Shane Koyczan, at the Grand Theatre in Kingston. This was the biggest performance of my career – and I look forward to continue making these steps forward into a career as a spoken word artist.

Patreon Goodies

This month, my patrons over at Patreon received an original poem (outside of the usual 365 Challenge updates, which are also compiled there), a performance video from the last Kingston Collective Poetry Show, a self-shot rehearsal video, and two samples of my poetry editing process, showing how the 365 Challenge poems that I post daily … More Patreon Goodies

The Hellbox Press

Some of you already know, but in the new year, I’ll be releasing a collection of poetry with Thee Hellbox Press and Hugh Barclay – a true artist who creates beautiful, hand-bound books with letterpress printing and original artwork on acid-free paper. As with all of Thee Hellbox’s titles, this book will have a limited … More The Hellbox Press

Pulse: soon to be included in The Black Napkin Issue 4

I took a long break the last couple of years, both from submitting my work to literary journals and from performing it, while I taught myself the business of independent publishing, releasing Whispers in 2014 and then Switch in 2015. My last performance (until this month) was in July of 2015. My last inclusion in … More Pulse: soon to be included in The Black Napkin Issue 4

Tamara Talks

I’ve been following Tamara for a while now, and every time I come across one of her poems, I can’t help but smile. Her work seems driven by wanderlust, and has a certain “wandering-but-not-lost” quality that I can’t get enough of. Each line gingerly tastes the unknown, exploring the unforeseen. “She wanted to see the … More Tamara Talks

The Traveling Poet

Three of my most recent poems have recently found a home at The Traveling Poet. River Gods, September, and Wild Child are all available now for your enjoyment. With your hands in the river and mud in your hair, you’re my forest; it was always you. The spirit in the woods that called to me … More The Traveling Poet
